At Art Plus Two/Monkeyshines Jewelry we're always looking for new and inovative ways to expand our product line. For our Recycled Jewelry line we've looked to the past to make what was old, new again.
Our wine bottle jewelry is a combination of pieces of broken wine bottles, sterling silver and gemstones. The glass has been shaped by hand and while we strive to match pieces for earrings, no two will be exactly alike. Some of the pieces are left plain to highlight the beauty of the glass itself. Some are wrapped with sterling silver and paired with sterling silver accents and/or gemstones to create truly unique pieces.
We're also working with other materials and will be adding to this page soon. Antique coins, that show some wear and so are not valuable to collectors, make wonderful charms and drops. We've also picked up some beautiful vintage beads at antique shops, estate auctions and junk stores. Of course we recognize that old doesn't necessarily mean vintage so we will at all times strive to give you an accurate accounting of what you purchase from this page. As with all our jewelry, if you need a chain longer or shorter, please let us know. Whenever possible, we're happy to make those changes for you at no additional charge.
Please look over our new line and check back often to see what's new. There's no telling what we'll decide to recycle next. But, everything that's reused, is one more thing that's kept out of a landfill and that can only help us all.
